Before I met Kelly and Shane in person we had been emailing each other. I like to ask my new inquiries a few initial questions to get a feel of who they are as a couple. Kelly described how her and Shane met and how she had her eye on him, to when he finally asked her out and eventually proposed! I felt like I knew Kelly and Shane going into our wedding photography consult! Kelly greeted me with her big smile and gave me a hug! One of the things I noticed most about Kelly and Shane on their wedding day, surrounded by their family and friends, is that Kelly and Shane greet everyone with their genuine smiles and a big hug!
When I asked Kelly the inspiration for their wedding day she said, “We wanted our wedding to be simple yet modern and sophisticated. We feel the most important part of the wedding are the guests and having a fun time, and not the tiny little details that people get caught up in while planning a wedding. Those little things are all secondary to being with our loved ones.” And that is just what they had!
In working up their timeline for the day, we realized we would need to go back after the wedding to grab some more bridal portraits. No big deal, it would be close to sunset anyway! Well, Kentucky being Kentucky the weather turned for the worse so I opened the big curtains at The Foundry and we did the portraits there and I am not sad about it at all!
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. McCamant!
