Covid didn’t postpone Rebecca and Austin’s wedding day. It may have looked different than what they had originally planned, however it was no less special or beautiful! Love wasn’t canceled! When I first spoke with Rebecca‘s mom about what their wedding day was going to look like with all of the restrictions in place, she told me, no matter what Rebecca and Austin wanted to get married on their date, whatever that looked like! She just wanted to marry the love of her life! Many of the moms I’ve spoken to during this whole crazy 2020 wedding planning season have said the biggest adjustment, or should I say, disappointment, is having expectations of what your daughter’s wedding day is going to look like. As a mother your daughter’s wedding day is something you’ve dreamed about since they were a little girl. Realizing it’s not going to happen that way, especially after being knee deep in planning for it is a little disappointing. Rebecca and her mom were just so grace filled during this whole process! During the mini reception with their grandparents and bridal party I spoke to Rebecca’s mom about how absolutely perfect and beautiful the day was!
Rebecca and Austin were so happy and joy filled that day. As they should be! The Church was packed (socially distanced with masks of course!) to see these two tie the knot. It spoke volumes about who they are as a couple! Rebecca’s bridesmaids have been her friends since highschool and were just so sweet! They cried when they saw her in her wedding dress for the first time! We all shed a tear during their speeches about Rebecca and Austin! I love getting to know my couples through their season of engagement, however one of my favorite things about a wedding day is watching my couples with their friends and family. It gives you a glimpse into who they really are and you feel like you get to know them that much better! It really is a blessing.
Enjoy a little peak at their special day!
Isn’t this photo precious?! Rebecca’s mom was so sweet and so excited to see her beautiful daughter in her wedding gown! This is one of my favorites!
