This day, this wedding, these two! Colin and Shannon’s wedding day was the first wedding of 2021 for me, and I couldn’t think of a more perfect couple! I have photographed both of Colin’s sisters weddings; Katie and Matthew in Lexington and Kirsten and Bennett in Indiana, and now to have captured Shannon and Colin’s day here in Louisville, just means the world to me. It reminds me of why I love being a wedding photographer.

To think that the images I captured will be looked at and cherished for generations to come, well, I can’t think of anything cooler than that! I was just so honored to be there again with the Olson family! I just love them! And I loved getting to meet Shannon’s family! It was another beautiful celebration!

Colins and Shannon’s day was just stunning. It was modern and intimate and relaxed and perfectly them! They were so creative with the adjustments that had to be made with a wedding during a pandemic, from their online video guest book, to social distance seating arrangements during the ceremony and reception, and the most hysterical cocktail napkins with the funniest quotes that only 2020 could produce!

Isn’t Shannon a stunning bride?

Shannon’s dress was so elegant and simple and I just loved photographing it. She wore her Grandmother’s earrings and on her bouquet she wrapped fabric from her mother-in-law’s wedding gown and pinned it with her Grandmother’s brooch!
